Clippers Rumors: LA Looking Showing Interest in Multiple Philadelphia 76ers

Yesterday, Clippers Central brought you the report that the Los Angeles Clippers were interested in 76ers wing Evan Turner. However, there is more to that story.

Per Sam Amico of Fox Sports, the Clippers are showing interest in multiple 76ers:

Philadelphia has “stepped up” efforts to trade swingman Evan Turner, according to a report by SportingNews.com. As FOX Sports Ohio reported early in the season, the 76ers are also very open to moving forward Thaddeus Young and center Spencer Hawes. The Suns, Los Angeles Clippers and Atlanta Hawks are all especially intrigued, according to FSO sources.

Out of these three players, Spencer Hawes fits the Clippers’ needs the most. However, its wouldn’t surprise me if Evan Turner was being inquired about as well. Given the lack of production on the wing, Turner could fit into the team nicely.

Hawes should definitely be the easier player to acquire. The big man is a serviceable center, but doesn’t have the  talent of Turner. The odds of the Clippers showing any interest in Thaddeus Young is minimal. Young’s best position is power forward, which would clash his and Blake Griffin’s effectiveness.

Sam Amico of Fox Sports expressed that there is Wester Conference interest in Hawes. One would assume the Clippers are involved:

Amico also reports that the 76ers expect a 1st round pick in any trade:

Sources state that Clippers have interest in Hawes, but not Turner at this moment.
